Herb Buns

3/4 cup daairy sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon shortening
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (105 to 115 degrees)
2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1 egg
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons snipped chives

Grease 12 muffin cups, 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches or line with paper baking cups. Mix sour cream, sugar and shortening in 1-quart saucepan. heat just to boiling; cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl. Stir sour cream mixture and half of the baking mix into yeast mixture. Beat until smooth. Mix in remaining baking mix, the egg and chives. Fill muffin cups about half full. Let rise in warm place until batter almost reaches tops of cups, 20-30 minutes. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Bake 15 minutes...1 dozen buns.
