2 cups Bisquick
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon each cinnamon and nutmeg
sugar for coating
Heat salad oil...3-4 inches...in heavy saucepan or deep fat fryer to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients except sugar coating until smooth. Gently smooth dough into a ball on lightly floured cloth-covered board. Knead
8-10 times. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut with floured doughnut cutter. Drop rings, 3-4 at a time, into hot oil. Fry about 1/2 minute on each side or until golden brown. Lift from oil with fork, drain on pape towels. While warm, shake doughnuts in sugar coating; 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon combned in plastic or paper bad. Makes about 1 dozen.
Follow recipe for Doughnuts above except...drop dough by teaspoonfulls
into hot oil. Makes 4 dozen balls.
