Pineapple Passion Cake

1 box yellow cake mix (mix according to package directions)
1 (3 oz.) box instant vanilla pudding
2 cups milk
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese (softened)
1 (9 oz.) container whipped topping
1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
maraschino cherries

Grease a 15-1/2-inch x 10-1/2-inch baking pan. Mix cake mix and bake according to package directions for 15 minutes; cool.
Mix pudding and milk as directed, stir in softened cream cheese. Spread over cooled cake. Spread whipped topping over pudding. Sprinkle pineapple evenly over whipped topping.

Sprinkle coconut evenly over pineapple. Sprinkle chopped pecans over coconut and top with maraschino cherries. Chill for 4 hours before serving.
