GINGERBREAD

Add spices to mix. Mix brown sugar, molasses, water, and egg. Add half of liquid to dry ingredients and mix 2 minutes on medium speed with electric mixer or 200 strokes by hand. Add remaining liquid and beat 1 minute at low speed. Pour batter into 8x8x2-inch pan lined with waxed paper. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Make 9 servings.
