Bran Muffins


2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix
1 cup whole bran cereal
3 tablespoons wheat germ
2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons molasses

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease bottoms only of 12 muffin cups, 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 -inches or line with paper baking cups. Mix all ingredients; beat vigorously 30 seconds. Fill muffin cups about 2/3 full. Bake 15 minutes....1 dozen muffins



Muffin Stir-Ins
Prepare Muffins as directed except:
Blueberry Muffins:
fold 1 cup fresh or frozen (thawed) blueberries or 3/4 cup well-drained canned blueberries into batter.

Cornmeal muffin:
Decrease baking mix to 1 1/2 cup and add 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal.

Granola Muffins:
Stir 1 cup crushed granola into batter.

Oatmeal muffins:
Stir 3/4 cup oats into batter.
