Southern Banana Chocolate Chip Bread


2 cups flour
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 small ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
1/2 cup Log Cabin syrup
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup milk
1 cup Baker's semi-sweet real chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9X5 inch loaf pan.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large gowl. Beat eggs in a small bowl. Stir in bananas, syrup, oil and milk. Add to flour mixture. Stir just til moistened. (Batter will be lumpy). Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into a prepared pan.

Bake for 60 - 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely on a wire rack.
