Amish Sugar Cookies #2
- 6 1/2 C flour
- 6 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 3 tsp. vanilla
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl. Add sugar. Combine eggs, buttermilk, and soda; stir. Add to the dry ingredients along with the vegetable dil and vanilla, stirring until mixed well. Drop by teaspoonflils onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes or until done. Cool cookies completely. Arrange on a rack over a pan lined with waxed paper to catch run off icing. Makes about 15 dozen cookies.
