Chocolate Pears


2 medium pears, peeled, halved, and cored
1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate pieces

Arrange pear halves, cut side up, in a 9 inch pie plate.
Stir together lemon juice and vanilla, and brush over pears.
Bake, covered, in a 375 oven for 30 to 35 minutes or till pears are tender.
Uncover and sprinkle with chocolate pieces.
Spoon any liquid in the pie plate over pears.
Serve warm.
Makes 4 servings.
