COLD SWEET-AND-SOUR FRUIT


16 oz Can sliced peaches
15 1/4 oz Can pineapple chunks
3/4 c Vinegar
1 c Sugar
8 Whole cloves
1 (3-inch) stick cinnamon
12 Fresh strawberries

Drain peaches and pineapple, reserving 1 cup juice.
Combine fruit juice, vinegar, sugar, cloves, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan; cook over low heat until sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Add peaches, pineapple, and strawberries.
Cover and chill several hours.
Remove cinnamon stick and cloves.
Serve with a slotted spoon. Yield: 8 servings..
