New York Hot Chocolate
- 150 g of dark chocolate
- 1 cup of cream
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 teaspoons of cocoa
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of corn flour
- vanilla essence
- whipped cream
Melt the chocolate. Bring the cream and milk to scalding point and add half of it to the chocolate.
Stir this mixture until it is smooth, then add the rest.
Stir the cocoa, sugar and corn flour together to remove lumps and dissolve this in a little boiling water.
Stir it into the chocolate mixture and whisk it while it heats until it boils then serve it with whipped cream on the top.
