Sausage Gravy


1 pound bulk pork sausage
2 cups milk
4 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Hot biscuits

In large skillet, crumble sausage into small pieces and brown. Remove sausage and drain off all but 4 tablespoons of the drippings. To the drippings in skillet, stir in the flour. Keep stirring until mixture is smooth and simmers. Add milk, a little at a time, stirring quickly to make a smooth gravy. Add salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is desired thickness for gravy. Add sausage. Split hot biscuits; place on serving plate. Pour gravy over top.
