Barbecue Cheeseburger Pizza


1 pound lean ground beef
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/4 cup hot water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup Cheddar cheese -- shredded
dill pickle slices -- if desired

Cook ground beef in skillet, stirring frequently, until brown. Drain. Stir in 1/2 cup barbecue sauce; set aside.
Mix baking mix, hot water and oil until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes. Let stand 8 minutes.
Move oven rack to lowest position.
Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease baking sheet or 12-inch pizza pan. Pat or press dough into 13-inch circle on baking sheet, using hands dipped in baking mix. Pinch edge to rom 1/2-inch rim. Or press in pizza pan. Spread remaining barbecue sauce over crust; top with beef mixture and pickle slices, if using. Place cheese on pickle slices. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until crust is brown and cheese is melted.
