PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH PORK CHOPS


2 pork chops
8 oz. can sauerkraut, drained & rinsed
1/2 tsp. caraway seed
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. applesauce
2 tbsp. onion
1 tbsp. packed brown sugar

Brown chops in skillet; remove chops and drain off fat.
Combine sauerkraut and caraway in skillet; add water.
Place pork chops on top.
Combine applesauce, onion and brown sugar and pile atop chops.
Cover; simmer till done, about 35 minutes.
