Crunch Salad


1 pkg. coleslaw mix
4 chopped green onions
1 pkg. oriental flavor Ramen noodles
1/2 C. sunflower seeds
1/2 C. slivered almonds
1/2 C. corn oil
1/4 C vinegar
1/4 C. sugar

In Separate bowl, combine vinegar, oil, sugar and Ramen noodle spice packet. Mix wel1. In serving bowl, add onions to coleslaw. When serving, top with nuts, seeds and bite size noodles. Toss with dressing and serve.

FRUIT SALAD In Cottage Cheese Ring


2 t. onion juice
3 T. cold water
2 t. gelatin
2 C. cottage cheese
1/8 T. salt
2 C. fruit cocktail, drained
1/2 C. pineapple chunks, drained
1/2 C. miniature marshmallows
1/2 C. cream, whipped
3 T. pineapple juice
I T. sugar

Combine water and onion juice, sprinkle in the gelatin and dissolve over hot water. Stir cottage cheese and salt into gelatin mixture and pour into ring mold. Chill until flrm, then turn out on lettuce leaves. Stir into mix: fruit cocktail, pineapple, and marshmallows, then fill center of cottage cheese mold. Blend cream, pineapple juice and sugar and spoon lightly over the fruit.
VARIATION: Toss in 2 cups torn romaine lettuce.
