Jewish Cole Slaw


1 very large cabbage, cut fine
1 green pepper, cut fine
1 carrot, cut fine
1 onion, cut fine
1 cup vinegar
1 teasp. mustard seeds
1/2 teasp. tumeric powder
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 teasp. salt
1/2 teasp. celery seed

Combine all ingredients except cabbage. Bring to a boil and pour over cabbage. Cool before using. Will keep 2-3 weeks in refrigerator..
